Elizabeth Allen-Cannon

Working primarily in painting and artist's books, Elizabeth Allen-Cannon engages the drama between framing device and pictorial space; the real and the abstract. Elizabeth has participated in residencies at Charlotte Street Foundation (Kansas City, MO), Ox-bow (Saugatuck, MI), and Wassaic Project (Wassaic, NY). Her work has been published in New American Paintings and exhibited at Nationale (Portland, OR), Roots and Culture Contemporary Art Center (Chicago, IL), Tempus Projects (Tampa, FL), and Carthage College (Kenosha, WI). In 2015, her artist's book “Native Tongues” was acquired by the Artist Book Library at the Museum of Modern Art (New York, NY) and in 2021, received the Exile Books Exhibitor Prize at Small Press Fair (Fort Lauderdale, FL). Her artist's book entitled "Heat, Tropics, Magic, Juice" was selected for an Individual Artist Project Grant by the State of Florida. Elizabeth currently teaches in the Performing and Visual Art Department at Eastern Florida State College (Cocoa, FL) and directs Causeway, an artist-run gallery space in Cocoa Beach, FL that she founded in 2024.

Gabi Gonzalez

Gabi Gonzalez (b. 1997) is a photographic artist working to make visual sense of her experiences, specifically the connection between family, memory, and the idea of home. Through images of family, herself, and her past surroundings, Gabi investigates a mistrust of emotions and memories and the way in which they are recalled. She received her BFA in Documentary Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Gabi is currently working as a camera repair technician in Orlando, Florida.

Matt Roberts

Matt Roberts is a new media artist and photographer whose work has been featured internationally and nationally, including shows in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, France, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, Scotland, Taiwan, and nationally in New York, San Francisco, Miami, and Chicago. His work has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Miami Herald, TVE Brazil and he was awarded the Transitio Award by the International Transitio_MX Festival in Mexico City. He lives in Florida where he is a Professor of Digital Art at Stetson University.

Rachel Simmons

Rachel Simmons is an artist and educator in Orlando, Florida, specializing in book arts and printmaking. A Rollins College faculty member since 2000, she founded and directs the Rollins Book Arts Collection, which supports student learning and research. Simmons actively promotes artists’ books through leadership roles in the Book Arts Guild of Central Florida, Orlando Zine Fest, and CBAA The Association for Book Art Education. Driven by a deep curiosity about a wide range of topics, including creativity, astronomy, philosophy, and nature, Simmons often ponders unanswerable questions in her work. Her artist’s books are housed in prestigious collections, including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Newberry Library, and the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, as well as numerous university collections across the United States. In 2024, she co-curated Critical Reading: Book Art in Dialogue with the Collection at the Rollins Museum of Art. Her current curatorial project, Printed & Bound: Contemporary Book Artists and the Press, opens at the Hamilton wood Type & Printing Museum in October 2025.

Carl Knickerbocker

Originally from NY. Been living in Oviedo, or environs, since 1970. Started doing art in 1984. Mostly self taught. Developed, what I describe, a Suburban Primitive style of art/painting. Subjects being sociopolitical, internal stuff and Florida. Been making video for the last fifteen years.

Njeri Kinuthia

Njeri Kinuthia, born and raised in Kenya, moved to the U.S. in 2021 to pursue her MFA at the University of Central Florida. Her artistic talent has been recognized with awards, including the 2024 Florida Prize in Contemporary Art People’s Choice Award, the 2023 United Arts Public Art Award, the UCF Provost Fellowship Award, among others. She is a multi-disciplinary artist working in drawing, painting, installations, textile art and soft sculptures. Njeri has showcased her work in numerous exhibitions across the country, including solo exhibitions in Florida. She is also a professor at the University of Central Florida.Her work explores themes of identity beyond tradition.

Michael G. Patterson is an artist and illustrator based in Florida.

Ryan O. Price

Ryan Otero Price (b. 1994) is an artist based in central Florida. He completed his MFA at the University of Central Florida in 2022 and currently serves as a gallery assistant at the UCF Art Gallery. Ryan's artistic practice spans drawing, printmaking, book binding, zines, and painting.
